LactiGo for CrossFit and gym training

Gym sessions load different muscles on different days, so the application changes. Timing around a class, where it goes, and what the research on repeated high-intensity efforts shows.

Match the application to the session

Timing around a class

Classes start on the hour and the warm-up is inside them, so apply before you leave for the box. A 6 am class means applying at 5:15. Lunchtime class: apply at your desk at 11:45. Evening: apply before you leave work. Clean, dry skin; chalk and sweat on top of it later do not matter once it has absorbed. If you train twice a day, LactiGo's guidance allows a second application after the shower.

What the research shows

The closest published test to a metcon is the rugby sevens trial: 12 six-second all-out sprints with short rests, triple-blind, seven world-class players. Peak power was higher with the gel in three of the sprints; average power and perceived effort were not different. That is repeated high-intensity work, which is what CrossFit is, but it is seven people on a bike. There is no study on lifting, gymnastics, or a 20-minute AMRAP. The oral beta-alanine evidence (40 studies) points to efforts of 30 seconds to 10 minutes, which is most metcons. The studies, and how the gel compares with beta-alanine, which many CrossFit athletes already take.
